about
Tom Begley of Bossk says, "Following the release of the last record, Migration, we internally discussed about what would be next for the band. The final stages of completing Migration were incredibly difficult, due to Covid and the sudden passing of Etsuo [Endon] who was featured on every track." He continues, "We wanted to do another full release that was as different as possible, and to try out new things that we haven't done yet. Full details about what the rest of this next release will come very soon."
Joe Clayton from Pijn comments on the single:
"Bossk have long been a band we looked up to. Their shows with the likes of Cult of Luna, Devil Sold His Soul and Rinoa before their hiatus were super important in my personal journey into this type of music, so it was an honour to be asked to be involved in a project with them.”
I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
Certainly on the mellower side of instrumental post-metal, almost bordering on post-rock, perfect for when you want something heavy but chill. Beautiful, consistent yet varied, definitely recommended!
PS — Evidently this just went nyp, so grab it while you can… MJ
